No Paperwork in Paradise

Governmental paperwork can take up quite a bit of our time.  Thankfully we've all completed the lengthy processes to obtain residence visas, get a non-governmental organization recognized, and for J.R. and I to receive our Peruvian driver's licenses.  Unfortunately, all of these documents need to be maintained and renewed on a regular basis.

Last week J.R. and I took our third trip to the capital of Lima to complete what we thought was the final step in renewing our visas and obtaining new cards.  When I arrived at the desk to get my photo taken I was informed that there was a problem with our application.  The reason for J.R.'s last entry was listed as a tourist visit rather than for religious work. After being sent to two other people I realized that the dates listed as J.R.'s trip were actually the dates of his father's visit to Peru.  Dennis Crouse Sr.'s trip was credited under Dennis Crouse Jr.'s account.  The problem is easily resolved, but will require one more trip to Lima to finish the process.

I'm so thankful that my Heavenly Father knows my name and that He doesn't confuse me with someone else.  When I arrive in Heaven I won't need a passport or an up-to-date visa.  I just need to be sure that my name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life of all those who have been forgiven of their sins by accepting Jesus' substitutionary death on the cross.  Jesus' righteousness has been credited to me. That's a great reason to celebrate this Easter season.

Blessings, Becky
