J.R. left this morning for Agua de Nieve (Coffee country) accompanied by a man from the church. As you can imagine, he's always glad to have some one to travel with him. They plan to return tomorrow. Thanks for your prayers for their safety.
The girls and I continue with home school and preparations for the ladies' retreat this weekend. The main speaker who was coming from Puerto Rico is sick and can't come. We decided that it's easier to try to find speakers at the last minute than reschedule lodging, food, and the visiting ladies' transportation. There are still some gaps in the schedule, but we're finding some willing and qualified local speakers. Clearly, we don't just encounter adventures when we travel. :-)

On the Road Again
In a few minutes our family will get into the car and head to Lima. We climb on a curvy two-lane road from 10,000 ft. up to 16,000 feet and then arrive down at sea level in Lima seven hours later. We hope to finish our residence visa renewal process, pick up my new passport, and make a couple doctors visits. Thanks for your prayers for safety in travel, for a successful completion of our errands, and that Alena will travel without getting sick when we come back on Thursday. Thanks!
